Banglalink launched Grandmaster, an idea generation contest for university students, at a press conference held in the city on Wednesday, said a news release.
This year, the competition has introduced a new platform: the facebook page ‘banglalinkmela’.
Interested students will form groups and they will register and submit their ideas through Banglalink’s facebook fan page.
Entries opened from Thursday and will continue till October 18.
Initial short listing of projects will be done and on the final event day, a panel of judges will select the top three out of the shortlisted groups.
The champion team will receive Tk 2,00,000 and the 1st runners up and the 2nd runners up will receive Tk 1,50,000 and Tk 1,00,000 respectively.
This year, the project theme is ‘mobile internet based services through mobile applications’.
North South University School of Business dean Abdul Hannan Chowdhury and Banglalink marketing senior director Shihab Ahmad were present at the press conference.
