Bangladesh Bank on Wednesday asked scheduled banks to keep their all branches open on Saturday to facilitate the government’s revenue collection.
The BB issued a circular to managing directors and chief executive officers of all banks asking them to keep open their braches with taking proper security measures so that the taxpayers would be able to pay their taxes in due time.
The BB also asked the banks to liquidate pay-orders and cheques of the taxpayers by June 30, 2014.
