CASH INCENTIVES AGAINST EXPORTS
BB asks banks to follow rules while applying
Bangladesh Bank on Thursday asked the authorised dealer branches of all the scheduled banks to send export-related documents to the banks that had applied
for the cash incentive on behalf of the exporters.
The BB issued a circular to the managing directors and chief executive officers of all the banks asking them to take necessary measures to this end as the settlement of cash incentive had been delayed unexpectedly.
The BB circular said some authorised dealer branches had not followed the rule regarding the timeframe to provide export-related documentations to the banks applying for cash incentive from the government.
A BB official told New Age that the central bank had earlier issued a circular to the banks asking the AD branches to take necessary documents from the exporters within three working days if they had submitted flawed documents.
The AD branches will provide the documents to the banks that applied for the cash incentive in the shortest possible time.
