Bangladesh Bank on Sunday said that the scheduled banks would have to submit their confidential part of management report audited by external farms to the central bank within 75 days after end of each calendar year, instead of existing 90 days. The BB issued a circular to managing directors and chief executive officers of all scheduled banks saying that it had taken the initiative to scrutinise the real picture of the banks’ audited financial reports.
A BB official told New Age on Sunday that the banks had earlier submitted the confidential part of the management report along with their audited financial balance sheet.
The bank earlier submitted the balance sheet within three months after end of each calendar year, he said.
But, now the banks have to submit the financial balance sheet within two months after each of calendar year and they must place the management report before submitting the balance sheet.
