Taskin Ahmed, after concerns with a rib injury, has been included in the Bangladesh national team’s 15-man squad for the forthcoming T20 World Cup in West Indies and USA as the Bangladesh Cricket Board announced on Tuesday.
This is also the squad for Bangladesh’s three-match T20I series against USA later this month.
The team will leave for USA on Wednesday.
Despite his rib injury, which he suffered during the fourth T20I against Zimbabwe in the recently concluded five-match series, Taskin was included in the squad as there are still more than three weeks remaining for Bangladesh’s World Cup campaign to start.
The biggest omission from the squad was Mohammad Saifuddin as the pace-bowling all-rounder was not included in either the squad or in the reserves.
Hasan Mahmud and Afif Hossain were included as the travelling reserves for the team.
