The Bangladesh Cricket Board dropped left-arm spinner Enamul Haque Jr and batsman Mehrab Hossain Jr when it announced the new payroll for the next one year following a meeting of the technical evaluation committee on Monday.
Batsman Jahirul Islam and left-arm spinner Sohrawardi Shuvo are new additions to its new payroll which will be effective from December 1 this year and
will expire on November 30, 2011. The meeting also recommended 15 per cent salary increase for the players selected for the payroll.
Mashrafee bin Murtaza, Sakib al Hasan, Mohammad Ashraful, Abdur Razzak, Mushfiqur Rahim and Tamim Iqbal were put in the A+ category, which has Tk 108,000 per month salary in the current payroll.
Shahadat Hossain, Junaed Siddique and Mahmudullah have been bracketed in A category (Tk 90,000 per month).
In the B category with a monthly salary of Tk 71, 000 there are six players – Syed Rasel, Roqibul Hassan, Nazmul Hossain, Naeem Islam, Imrul Kayes and Rubel Hossain
Paceman Shafiul Islam is the only C category player on a monthly salary of Tk 53,000. The two newcomers, Jahirul Islam and Sohrawradi Shuvo, will get the salary of rookie category, Tk 36,000.
In addition to the money, national skipper and his deputy will get Tk 10,000 and Tk 5,000 respectively as allowances per month.
