The Bangladesh Cricket Board is considering of hosting five Twenty 20 internationals against Zimbabwe in January instead of two Test matches, which is originally scheduled.
Officials said both Bangladesh and Zimbabwe are interested to play only Twenty20 matches during this period of time as part of their preparation for the ICC World Twenty20.
BCB chief executive officer Nizamuddin Chowdhury said on Saturday a final decision regarding the matter will be taken on December 23.
‘We are yet to decide anything regarding the proposal,’ he said. Everything will be finalised during the cricket operations meeting on December 23.’
Zimbabwe played three one-day internationals and two Twenty20 internationals against Tigers in November and were scheduled to return in January for Tests.
