The Bangladesh Cricket Board have provided the national cricket team’s coaching staff with an ambulance to ensure safe travel to and from the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur.
The BCB is already on the back foot following the departure of the touring West Indies Under-19 side due to security concerns, and they are keen to give coach Shane Jurgensen’s foreign staff the best possible security.
The national team began their preparation for a busy international schedule early next year with the first match of the Bangladesh T20 Challenge Series today at Mirpur.
‘The foreign team management is coming in an ambulance,’ a BCB official said on Tuesday.
‘Yesterday [Monday] some of the players located in Uttara also used the ambulance,’ he added.
