Bangladesh Cricket Board is ready to fulfill any demand of the English and Wales Cricket Board if that is within its reach in order to arrange the forthcoming home series, said BCB officials on Wednesday.
ECB’s security adviser Reg Dickason led three-member security delegation that includes Professional Cricketers’ Association chief executive David Leatherdale and ECB’s director of cricket operations John Carr arrived here on Wednesday for their three-day visit.
‘We will try our best’, said BCB’s chief executive officer Nizamuddin Chowdhury.
‘We will take the security measures that are taken in a bi-lateral series. If they want anything extra we will do our best. Government has also assured us. We can fulfill any of their demands.’
The delegation had meetings with the UK and Australian high commissions and expected to meet home minister Asaduzzaman Kamal today before fly to Chittagong on Friday.
During their stay they will have meeting with different security agencies apart from crosschecking security arrangements at the venues and other regular stuffs.
Nizamuddin also said that this is a routine visit and the delegation also visited India as the England cricket team is supposed to play there after completing the Bangladesh series.
England are scheduled to arrive in Bangladesh on September 30 for a three-match one-day international and two-Test series played in Dhaka and Chittagong.
