Bangladesh Cricket Board is all set to send a four-member security delegation to Pakistan for checking the security issues of the country prior to the Bangladesh women’s cricket team’s tour, said BCB official on Saturday. The four member delegation will be compromised with three officials from the government side and the head of BCB security Hossain Imam.A directorate general of forces intelligence official along with a national security intelligence officer and an additional deputy inspector general of police is expected to compromise the team.
‘We will send a letter tomorrow [Sunday] to Pakistan Cricket Board regarding our security team’s visit,’ BCB chief executive officer Nizamuddin Chowdhury told New Age on Saturday.
‘We will decide the tour on the basis of their report,’ he said.
Bangladesh women’s team is scheduled to tour Pakistan from August 31 to September 11, subject to the security clearance.
The team is expected to play three one-day internationals and three Twenty20 internationals during the visit.
