A seven-member team of the Bangladesh Cricket Board arrived in Khulna on Monday to see if the city’s Sheikh Abu Nasser Stadium is ready to host a Test match against Zimbabwe in November. The BCB team included its director Sheikh Sohel, grounds and facilities manager Syed Abdul Baten, media committee manager Rabeed Imam, cricket operations manager Sabbir Khan amd security wing chief Major (retd) Hossain Imam.
The team visited the residential Hotel City Inn soon after their arrival to see if it can provide accommodation to the players and officials.
They will visit the Sheikh Abu Nasser Stadium today to see if the venue is fit for holding the Test match.
Sheikh Abu Nasser Stadium was approved as an international venue in March 12. The stadium hosted its maiden Test between Bangladesh and West Indies in November 2012.
