Raisul Islam Roj was made president and Towhidur Rahman general secretary of the Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology unit of Bangladesh Chattra League through their second council at the university on Thursday. metropolitan Awami League office after a daylong programme on RUET campus.
President Raisul Islam Roj is a fourth year student of industrial
production engineering department and general secretary Towhidur Rahman is a third year student of civil department.
The new committee was asked to recommend a full-fledged committee for the unit to BCL central committee, said the new president.
Earlier, in the morning the RUET BCL
leaders and activists brought out a colorful procession on the campus to celebrate their second council.
Later, a discussion was organised at RUET auditorium which was presided over by the RUET BCL former president Harun-or-Rashid and attended by Awami League
presidium member Mohammad Nasim as the chief guest and AHM Khairuzzaman Liton as the special guest.
Among others, BCL central committee joint-secretary Mushtak Ahmed, human development
affair secretary Shah Newaz and BCL RU unit president Mizanur Rahman Rana, spoke on the programme.
