BDO International, a global public accounting firm, has recently launched its Bangladesh operation. BDO is an international network of public accounting firms, the fifth largest global network of audit, tax and advisory firms providing professional services in 144 countries, with over 56,000 people working out of 1,264 offices worldwide having annual turnover of $6.5 billion (as of September 30 2013), said a news release.
Chief executive officer of Asia Pacific Region of BDO International Stephen Darley attended as chief guest the official launch of BDO Bangladesh at Hotel Radisson Blu in Dhaka.
Established in 2008, Nurul Faruk Hasan & Co, Chartered Accountants and its consulting firm Business Consulting Services, Consulting & BPO Services, have been admitted as the member firms of BDO International in Bangladesh, effective from June 1, 2014, now known as BDO Bangladesh.
Amongst the six largest global network firms, only two are represented in Bangladesh as member of independent public accounting firms — KPMG and BDO.
