This year’s MTV Video Music Awards is memorable for many reasons. For one, Beyoncé Knowles debuts her baby bump at the Sunday show.
Yes, the songstress is pregnant with the first child with her 41-year-old husband Jay-Z.
First, Knowles, 29, teased the crowd by placing her hands on her stomach: “I have a surprise!”
Later, when she was performing her new song Love on Top, she asked the crowd to stand up, saying: “I want you to feel the love that’s growing inside me.”
At the end of her performance, she sent the crowd into frenzy by unbuttoning her jacket and rubbing her stomach.
It reminds us that just two months earlier, the singer told Piers Morgan: “I always said I would have a baby at 30.”
She kept her words. Her rep confirmed the piece of good news to People magazine: “I’m happy to say it’s true.”
An insider told the magazine that Knowles and Jay-Z, who tied the knot in 2008, shared the good news with their close ones last month.
“She’s never been happier. Seriously it’s all she’s been waiting for. And Jay is like an excited kid. They’re adorable,” said the source.
