The Bangladesh Football Federation on Monday formed a three-member committee to evaluate 19 development coaches, whose contracts will run out on December 31.
BFF technical director Bayejid Jubayer Nipu and two senior coaches, Saiful Bari Titu and Maruful Haque, were given the responsibility of assessing the development coaches.
Officials said the committee will work for two days on December 25 and 26 to complete the job.
‘The committee will give
the final recommendation to the executive committee of the BFF after assessing the evaluation report,’ said Hasanuzzaman Bablu, an official of the BFF development committee.
It was learned that football’s governing body wants to reduce the number of coaches to accommodate Titu in the coaching panel of the national team.
Mohammedan coach Titu recently agreed to a proposal of BFF president Kazi Salahuddin to work with the national team’s Dutch coaches. Titu is expected to join the BFF on December 1 and he is supposed to receive Tk one lakh per month as salary.
Bablu, however, denied the suggestion that they are evaluating the development coaches to accommodate Titu.
‘We want to observe the actual situation of the development coaches,’ he said. ‘Many coaches from outside the country have shown their interest to work under the BFF so maybe we will include another coach if we see somebody is failing to perform.’
