As the hype over two big Bollywood films – Haider and Bang Bang, set to be released on Friday – grows, there is an issue over number of shows to be shared in Mumbai between Disney’s Haider and Fox Star Studio’s Bang Bang, reports India Today. Reports also say that this is the reason due to which advance booking for these two films have not started in single screen theatres in Mumbai. Report doing the rounds is that as per the deal signed by most single screen theatres with Disney, four shows a day were supposed to be allotted to Haider. But single screen theatres are now okay with allotting two shows to each film. However, Fox Star Studios is asking for three shows a day. The exhibitors are still in talks to resolve the issue.
Haider will be released in around 1,000 to 1,200 screens while Bang Bang will hit 4,500 screens. Another report in the media says Bang Bang needs a wider release as it is a costly film and films do maximum business in their first week.
