Biman Bangladesh Airlines, the national flag carrier, has started to accept both local and international Visa and Mastercard credit cards for booking seats through the website.
The airline will also accept Nexus Debit Card issued by local Dutch-Bangla Bank in its web-booking integration, said a press release on Sunday.
Biman earlier signed an agreement with Dutch-Bangla Bank in order to avail the services of its Nexus Payment Gateway programme. Under the agreement, the customers can now make reservations on Biman flights through the web using all Visa, Mastercard and Dutch-Bangla Bank Nexus Debit Card that are issued locally.
Moreover, passengers can now book their seats through the web by using other debit cards issued by the bank.
