Biman Bangladesh Airlines will start running flights on the Dhaka-Guangzhou-Dhaka route from tomorrow, expanding its list of overseas destinations having included China.
Managing Director and CEO of Biman Bangladesh Airlines Md. Zahid Hossain and Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh Li Jiming met on Tuesday at the Chinese Embassy in Dhaka to discuss the operation of Biman’s passenger flights on the Dhaka-Guangzhou route.
The operation of flights on the Dhaka-Kunming route was also discussed in detail by the two sides.
The Chinese envoy expressed his appreciation for Biman’s consistent flight operations to China and pledged cooperation for an expansion of flights between the two friendly nations.
The maiden flight of the national flag carrier of Bangladesh, BG366 will depart from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka at 11:00 am local time on August 18 and touch down at Guangzhou’s Baiyun International Airport at 4:45 pm local time. The return flight, BG367, will depart from the airport in Guangzhou at 7:45 pm local time and will arrive in Dhaka at 9:30 pm local time, said Biman in a press release yesterday.
