Bangladesh Jute Mills Corporation (BJMC) clinched title of the Invitational National Women’s Handball Tournament crushing Rangamati district by 27-4 goals in the final held Sunday at the Shaheed Captain Mansur Ali Handball Stadium. The winners led the first half by 20-3 goals.
In the day’s final, Shirina of BJMC scored seven goals while Rojina supported her with five goals. Shilpy scored a brace for Rangamati district.
Shirina of BJMC was named the player of the final for her brilliant performance in the match.
Earlier, on the day, Dhaka district finished third in the tournament beating Dinajpur district by 17-9 goals in the place-deciding match held on the same venue. Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu was present as the chief guest in the final and distributed prizes among the winners.
