BKSP have clinched the day-long Victory-day Gymnastics Championship 2013 held at the National Sports Council Gymnasium on Friday. They finished on the top of the medals tally with 33 medals, including 11 golds. Links and Build Limited were just behind them with 8 medals, including 2 golds. Md Isad Hossain of Links and Build Ltd won gold in both the men’s floor and parallel bar category, while Md Borhanuddin of BKSP clinched gold in the vault category.
In the women’s floor and vault, Mushfika Akhter of BKSP emerged the winner.
In the boys’ 8-9 year category, Md Al-Amin of BKSP clinched gold in both the vault and floor events, while in the boys’ 10-12 year category Md Shishir of BKSP was victorious in the vault and Md Monir Hossain of BKSP won gold in the floor category.
In the girls’ 8-9 year vault and floor event Meherunnessa of BKSP won gold, while in the 11-12 year category BKSP’s Nargis Nahar clinched gold in vault and Nurunnahar Banu won gold in the floor event.
The general secretary of the Bangladesh Olympic Association awarded prizes to the winners as the chief guest.
