The Bangladesh Olympic Association unveiled the logo and mascot of the maiden Bangladesh Youth Games 2018 in a colourful ceremony at the Kurmitola Golf Club on Sunday.
The meet is scheduled to get underway on December 18 across the country.
The logo contained a torch carried by an athlete while a Royal Bengal Tiger named ‘Tejorshi’ was chosen as mascot.
BOA said that both the logo and mascot were the symbols of youth.
The district phase of the Games, which include 21 disciplines, will be held from December 18-24.
The divisional round will start on January 6 before final round in March in Dhaka.
Finance minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith was present as the chief guest during the log unveiling ceremony at the Kurmitola Golf Club.
State minister for youth and sports, Biren Sikder, and BOA president general Abu Belal Muhammad Shafiul Huq were also present on the occasion.
