A documentary book of Indian director Goutam Ghose’s film Padma Nadir Manjhi was launched at the on Thursday at the Channel-i office in Tejgaon.
Professor Serajul Islam Chowdhury unveiled the book cover as the chief guest at the porgramme, organsied by Impress Telefilms Ltd.
The managing director of Impress Telefilms Ltd Faridur Reza Sagor, director and producer of Padma Nadir Manjhi respectively Goutam Gosh and Habibur Rahman Khan, and actors of the film like Raisul Islam Asad, Champa, Prabir Mitra, Keramot Moula, Rosey Siddue and others shared their memories of the making process of the film and the experiences they got after its release.
The book features different documents of making the film based on Manik Bandyopadhy’s novel Padma Nadir Manjhi, which became a huge success both in Bangladesh and Bangla speaking regions in India.
Leading artistes of both Dhallywood and Tollywood like Raisul Islam Asad, Champa, Utpal Dutt, Rupa Gangooly and others perform in the film, which was produced jointly by India and Bangladesh.
