The transfer of players for the Bangladesh League 2010 starts today with newcomers Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club expected to outdo the traditional powerhouses with rich collections.
However, no big name is likely to hit the bourse today as it is a weekly holiday and the BFF office will remain open only for player’s registration from 3:00pm to 6:00pm.
Almost all the clubs have finalised their teams and they will just have to complete the formalities within October 7.
However, the overseas players’ registration will remain open until October 15 and the clubs will have to register their players as per the new FIFA Transfer Matching System.
FIFA said on Wednesday that a more transparent online system for international player transfers would become compulsory on October 1, helping to protect under 18-year-olds.
The Transfer Matching System has been tested in 18 countries since February 2008 and gradually expanded, currently covering 3,633 clubs, allowing footballing authorities to see more details on each transfer.
Each club involved in a transfer has to enter the same details including bank accounts, amounts of money, timing and pay, with added documents such as identity documents and contracts, or it will be blocked.
The BFF earlier conducted a three-day workshop to train the club officials on the online international player transfer system.
