The second round of Bangladesh Premier League begins today after a one-day gap with holders Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club facing Uttar Baridhara at the MA Aziz Stadium in Chittagong.
Baridhara, one of the two promoted sides of the league, will take the field as league leaders with an upset 1-0 win over Sheikh Russell, who will face Rahamatganj Muslim Friends Society in the other match of the day.
Apart from the Baridhara match, rest of the five matches of first round were ended with draw which means all the big names will take the field for the first win in the coming weeks.
Jamal and Baridhara last time met in the Independence Cup with Jamal winning the game by 1-0.
This for the third time in the season both Russell and Rahamatganj are going to meet each other with Russell winning both the previous occasions.
