Bangladesh Sports Press Association on Sunday awarded defender Farhad Ahmed Shitul as the best Bangladeshi player in the 10th Men’s Asia Cup Hockey for his consistent show in sixth place finish for the home side. BSPA president Mostafa Mamun handed over the award to Shitul during the third-place deciding match between Pakistan and South Korea while Asian Hockey Federation chief executive officer Tayyeb Ikram was also present on the occasion.
Faizal Saari of Malaysia was voted as the best player of the tournament.
