The admission tests of Barisal University have been postponed for an indefinite period which were supposed to be held on December 7, Saturday, said the authorities at a press conference on the university’s temporary campus on Thursday. The tests have been postponed as the BNP-led opposition alliance have announced country-wide 72-hour blockade programme from Saturday, the BU officials have said.
The BU vice-chancellor, Professor Harunur Rashid, confirmed that the university would not hold any intake test during the blockade programme.
If the blockade programme of the opposition alliance was not changed or relaxed and continue, the BU authorities will formally announce the postponement of the intake test of December 7 on Friday noon until further notice, he added.
