BCB to take second opinion on Mustafiz

The Bangladesh Cricket Board is in favour of taking a second opinion before deciding about the surgery of injured pace bowler Mustafizur Rahman, said the officials on Friday. Mustafiz was advised to undergo a surgery by British shoulder specialist Tony Kocchar after his second arthrogram report reconfirmed a grade-2 tear in his bowling shoulder.

Aaqib arrives for pace camp

Mustafiz injury not very serious

Bangladesh can heave a sigh of relief as pace bowler Mustafizur Rahman did not suffer any severe injury though he was ruled out to participate for Sussex on Sunday. Mustafiz sustained a shoulder injury during a practice session that restricted him from making his debut in Royal’s London Cup, 50-over cricket tournament.

Suspect action recording completed

The Bangladesh Cricket Board’s bowling action review committee completed their work of capturing the actions of all the 10 suspected bowlers on Sunday, said the chief of the committee, Jalal Yunus. The committee will now assess the actions of those bowlers, who all were reported during this year’s Dhaka Premier League, through software for further scrutiny.
