The Chattogram City Corporation on Sunday announced a Tk 2,161.27 crore budget for 2022-23 fiscal.
Chattogram mayor Rezaul Karim Chowdhury announced the budget at Theatre Institute Chattogram.
The mayor also announced Tk 1,202.57 crore revised budget for 2021-22 fiscal while it was Tk 2,464.96 crore. The budget implementation rate in the outgoing fiscal was 49 per cent.
In the proposed budget, development grants have been estimated at Tk 1,212 crore while the CCC’s own income is Tk 904.57 crore.
A total of Tk 176.30 crore of the budget will be spent on paying off arrears while Tk 1259.50 crore will be spent on different development projects and Tk 290.10 crore on salary purposes.
