A commercial building caught fire in the capital’s Moghbazar area on Wednesday morning.
Fire service official said that fire broke out in a building at Moghbazar intersection at about 9:15am.
Two units of Tejgaon fire station rushed to the spot and doused the fire within half-an-hour.
Fire service headquarters officer-in-charge Kazi Nuruzzaman said that the fire originated from an electric short circuit on the fourth floor of the seven-storey building at about 09:13am and soon engulfed the entire floor.
On information, two firefighting units rushed to the spot and doused the blaze after half an hour of steady efforts with the help of the building caretakers at about 9:55am.
No one was injured in the incident.
