The two-day classical music festival concluded through solo and group recitals of classical music at Chhayanaut auditorium on Friday.
The ending day programme of the festival titled Suddho Sangeet Utsab 1420 began with a chorus presentation of raga bhimpalasi by the artistes of the organisation. Directed by Rezwan Ali and accompanied by tabla and harmonium, the recital entertained the audience with its varying tempo and its beautiful melody.
Fakir Shahidul Islam also pleased the listeners by presenting the beauty of classical music through his rendition of raga puriya.
Swarup Hossain, on the other hand, created a pleasant atmosphere in the auditorium through presenting an instrumental piece. Hossain created a wide variety of different sounds on the classical music instrument tabla.
Sadul Haque Sikder played sitar accompanied with tabla and tanpura and presented raga charukesi. The fast yet well-coordinated soulful performance of three instruments created a joyous and graceful ambience at the hall.
The sound of flute played by Mohammad Maniruzzaman charmed the listeners who gathered on that evening. Vocal presentation of Anil Kumar Saha of raga malkaush also gained loud applause from the audience.
Chhayanut organises festival featuring classical music with a goal to popularise and spread the genre among the music enthusiasts of the country.
