The Bangladesh Cricket Board is expected to be re-organised with the formation of the new standing committees when the executive directors convene their second board meeting at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium today. Several BCB directors have been busy lobbying for posts in their desired committees. Several key issues will be up for discussion, including the appointment of the chief selector. The post has been vacant since Akram Khan took up his position as a director.
Former national chief selector Faruk Ahmed and current selector Minhajul Abedin are the front-runners for the job.
The BCB vice-president may also be elected at the meeting.
