The health adviser to the prime minister, Syed Modasser Ali, on Tuesday said community clinics would be made the focal point of all healthcare activities to strengthen the country’s healthcare system.
‘We will make one community clinic for every 6,000 people and the female members will be our main focus,’ he said while inaugurating a 3-day regional meeting on ‘Primary Health Care Approach in Emergencies.’
Representatives from different South-East Asian countries and non-governmental organisations working on healthcare participated the meeting organised jointly by health and family welfare ministry and World Health Organisation’s regional office for South-East Asia at the Sheraton hotel in Dhaka.
