The second convocation of Primeasia University was held at Bangabandhu International Convention Centre Tuesday morning.
The education minister, Nurul Islam Nahid, chaired the ceremony and distributed certificates as representative of the president, who is also chancellor of the university.
Professor Pabitra Sarkar, former vice-chancellor of Rabindra Bharati University and noted educationist, gave the convocation speech.
A total of 400 students were awarded the graduation and post-graduation degrees while three students were awarded the Chancellor’s Gold Medal and seven students were awarded Vice-Chancellor’s Gold Medal.
Chairman of the board of trustees of Primeasia University MA Wahab, vice-chairman K M Khaled and Abdul Matin, founder of the university and honorary treasurer MA Khaleque and other members of the board of trustees were present there.
A cultural programme was held later on.
