At least two clearing and forwarding agents died when a covered van hit them on Monday night at Banglabazar area under Sadarghat police station in the Chittagong city.
The deceased were Shaymol Chowdhury, 40, son of Ramprasad from Baskhali upazila and Rubel Chowdhury, 33, son of Babul Chowdhury from Bualkhali upazila in Chittagong.
Officer-in-charge of Sadarghat police station Pranab Kumar said the agents were returning from Chittagong port on a motorbike.
A covered van hit them at Banglabazar area at 10:00pm, leaving them seriously injured, Pronob added.
He said locals took them to Chittagong Medical College Hospital where on duty doctors declared them dead.
