Chittagong Shah Amanat International Airport has been recognised as an international airport by International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), a specialised United Nations agency.
Civil Aviation Authority, Bangladesh (CAAB) Chairman Air Vice-Marshal Mahmud Hussain, representing ICAO, presented the recognition certificate, effective from October 31, to the airport’s Manager Wing Commander Md Noor-e-Alam at the CAAB office in the capital yesterday.
