The Department of Civil Engineering of the Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology inaugurated a SCIP Plastics Project under the Sustainable Capacity Building to Reduce Irreversible Pollution by Plastics research project.
Vice-chancellor Mohammad Rafiqul Alam was chief guest at the event held in the seminar room of Civil Engineering Department on Monday, said a press release.
The Faculty of Civil Engineering dean Md Mainul Islam and the scientific expert of SCIP Plastics Project and head of civil engineering department Asiful Haque were special guests.
SCIP Plastics Project scientific expert and civil engineering department professor Sudeep Kumar Pal delivered a welcome speech.
SCIP Plastics Project’s scientific director and civil engineering department professor Farzana Rahman Juthi presided over the event while SCIP Plastics Project research assistant Farzana Khan Dina moderated the programme.
The SCIP Plastics project is being funded by the German Federal Ministry of Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety.
