Dhaka Premier League than what was proposed by the clubs.
CWAB’s secretary Debobroto Paul along with the players’ representative Jahirul Islam had an informal meeting with the chairman of the Cricket Committee of Dhaka Metropolis to present their proposal on salary cap at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium on Saturday.

The proposal came after the clubs had proposed a salary cap for the 108 players for the forthcoming edition of DPL scheduled to start on July 1 after an exchange programme with the players on June 20 at a city hotel.
The clubs had previously proposed Tk 20 lakh for A+ category, Tk 15 lakh for A category, Tk 10 lakh for B
+ category, Tk eight
lakh for B category, Tk five lakh for C category, Tk 2.5 lakh for D category while they remained silent regarding the E category players .
CCDM chairman Jalal Yunus said that they are hopeful of sorting out the differences between the two parties by July 15.
‘The A+ category is slightly high but still it can be sorted out in the next board meeting. The other prices quoted for the other categories does not have a big difference,’ Jalal told New Age on Saturday.
All-rounder Sakib al Hasan, Tamim Iqbal, Mushfiqur Rahim and Nasir Hossain are placed in the A+ category.
