A workshop on the world’s leading youth achievement award named after the ‘Duke of Edinburgh’ was held on the Jahangirnagar University campus on Saturday.
DAE country director Professor Khandakar Shariful Huda inaugurated the workshop as the chief guest and award winners- assistant professor of the department of geography and environment, Raunak Jahan and lecturer of urban and regional planning department Afsana Hoque spoke in the programme which was held in the office room of Jahangirnagar University Journalists’ Association.
Around 60 journalists of the print media and the university students participated in the workshop.
Professor Shariful Huda urged the participants to utilise their talent for ensuring better contribution to the society through joining this award foundation.
He also shared the foundation’s vision of extending the award throughout the country for developing a confident and caring young generation.
Every year the Duke of Edinburgh’s Foundation gives scholarship for higher studies in abroad to the Bangladeshi university students and teachers.
