DEMU train inaugurated in Joydevpur
Railway Minister Mujibul Haque yesterday inaugurated a commuter train known as Diesel Electric Multiple Unit (DEMU) at Joydevpur railway junction.
Addressing the inauguration ceremony as the chief guest, Mujibul Haque said the present government has made significant changes in the railway sector with an aim to ensure better services for passengers.
The DEMU will run on Joydevpur-Dhaka route. The commuter train will make four trips daily between the capital and Joydevpur. The train will make two trips from Dhaka at 9:15am and 12:40pm and two trips from Joydevpur at 10:20am and 1:55pm.
The authorities have fixed the fair at Tk 20.
