Citycell and Dhaka Electric Supply Company Ltd (DESCO) have recently signed an agreement to offer mobile-based electricity bill payment facility. Under this agreement, Citycell will collect electricity bills from DESCO customers.
This unique service can be availed in two ways. Citycell customers will be able to pay their DESCO bill through their Citycell mobile connection. In addition, any DESCO subscriber will be able to pay his/her electricity bill at any Citycell designated Point of Sales. This service will enable a hassle free, convenient and quick way to pay the electricity bills.
The agreement signing ceremony was held at DESCO Head Office, Banani on Monday. David Lee, Chief Operating Officer of Citycell and Engr Mohammad Kamruzzaman, Manager, Procurement and Contract Management of DESCO signed the agreement while Ahmed Armaan Siddiqui, General Manager, VAS and Innovations of Citycell and Qudrate Khuda, Director, Procurement, Finance and Accounts, Engr Niaz Mohammad, Assistant Manager, Procurement and Contract Management of DESCO and other officials of both the organizations were present at the signing ceremony.
