Diploma engineers on Wednesday formed a human chain in Sylhet to push for their demand for removal of disparity between their salaries, promotions and
other facilities and those of graduate engineers.
Diploma engineers working with different government organisations participated in the human chain under the banner of district unit of ‘Institution of Diploma Engineers, Bangladesh’ in front of the deputy commissioner’s residence at Bandar in the afternoon.
The association leaders during the human chain demanded immediate implementation of the prime minister’s directive issued on April 16, 2012.
