Dhaka Metropolis First Division Table Tennis League got underway yesterday at the Wooden Floor Stadium with eight teams winning their respective matches on the opening day.
Promising Junior beat Dhaka Wanderers 3-1 while Bangladesh Boys, Dhaka South East TT Club and Combined SC beat Bangladesh Chemical, Dyane and Lalbagh TT Club respectively, all in straight 3-0 sets.
In Group B, Biman and Cynthia SC defeated Amonayan and Mansoor SC respectively in straight 3-0 sets while Banti SC beat Barna TT Club by 3-2 sets. Ekota Shreepur got walkover over Linkon TT club, said a press release yesterday.
