The Dhaka Metropolitan Police has decided to provide security for people carrying large amount of money during Eid and Durga puja festivals, said DMP deputy commissioner (media) Masudur Rahman. But those who would need police escorts would have to arrange transports, he added.
DMP has requested people to contact the local police stations or DMP control room numbers if escort is needed.
The contact numbers are: 9559933, 9551188, 8514400, 01713398311 and 999-2222 and 2223.
