Photo exhibition at Shahjalal University of Science & Technology
‘Jolrong-er Shopno’ (dreams in watercolour) — bearing this theme, a photo exhibition has begun at Arjuntala on the campus of Shahjalal University of Science & Technology (SUST), Sylhet from last Sunday.
Mohammed Mazharul Islam, Associate Professor of Anthropology Department, inaugurated the exhibition. Shajalal University Photographers Association (SUPA) has arranged this exhibition featuring 20 pictures.
The exhibition continues from 10 am to 5 pm, without any intermission, everyday and will end on October 7, according to the organisers.
The exhibition has drawn over hundreds of students and teachers over the last few days. The campus has taken on a festive mood as a result of it.
“An image has a great significance and can effectively stir our emotions,” said Mohammed Anwar Hossain, Assistant Provost of Shahparan Hall.
“The interest in photography needs to grow. Exhibitions like these will help generate further interest in the medium gradually,” said Morsadul Hasan, president of SUPA.
