Yesterday, the Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) approved a Tk 6,741.28 crore budget for the fiscal year 2022–2023. DSCC’s 15th board meeting, which took place in Nagar Bhaban, approved the budget.
The DSCC Mayor, Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh, remarked at the meeting, “With the hard efforts of our councillors and officers, we have been able to establish foundations of a better Dhaka in the previous two years, to meet the expectations of Dhaka people.”

The mayor stated that when he assumed office, revenue was barely Tk 514 crore. They were able to make Tk 703 crore in the 2020–21 fiscal year and Tk 176 crore more in the last fiscal year.
Chief state officer Rasel Sabrin got the “Shuddhachar Puroshkar” during the meeting, and Mohammad Selim, a councilman from Ward 42, won the best councillor prize.
