Dhaka Stock Exchange’s chief technology officer ASM Khairuzzaman on Wednesday resigned from his post in the bourse. Asked, Khairuzzaman told New Age that his decision was based totally on personal ground. ‘I have worked at the bourse for 16 years. The journey with the bourse was nice,’ he said. Khairuzzaman’s resignation came at a time when the bourse is upgrading its trading system.
The DSE on March 21 signed an agreement with NASDAQ OMX, a USA-based multinational financial services corporation, for purchasing a matching engine and inked another deal with FlexTrade, a US-based multinational company, for buying an order management system.
The bourse requires the hardware and the software for upgrading its trading system.
A DSE official said the sudden resignation of the CTO surprised them as the bourse was going through an automation process.
