The metro rail station at Dhaka University will remain closed for the whole day and metro rail station at Shahbagh will remain closed until 12:00pm tomorrow in the capital, according to a circular issued today.
Dhaka Mass Transit Company Ltd (DMTCL), in the circular, expressed regret for the inconvenience.
The circular did not mention any reason, but a DMTCL official said the decision was taken as the Shahbagh and Dhaka University areas are expected to see large gatherings centring the Pahela Baishakh celebrations, which could make maintaining services difficult.
