Epson, a Japanese electronics company, on Wednesday launched low-cost printers in Bangladesh for the country’s apparel industries. The low-cost printers will increase the sector’s competitiveness in the world market, Epson India Subcontinent president Toshiyuki Kasai said at a news conference at its Dhaka office while launching Fabric and Direct to Garment printers. Toshiyuki said, ‘We see tremendous potential in the textile printing market in Bangladesh for commercial, office and home printing using our innovative Ink Tank Inkjet printer.’
‘The Bangladesh printer market is poised for robust growth and Epson will keep introducing products that exceed customer expectations,’ he said.
An Ink-Tank Inkjet printer was also launched on the occasion that would cost Tk 0.15 per page for black and white and Tk 0.25 for colour printing, Epson officials said.
