The Election Commission has decided to use electronic voting machine in two centres at one of the 30 wards in the third Barisal City Corporation election scheduled to be held on June 15.
Returning officer’s office of third BCC election said EVM would be used
in two vote centers of ward 16 having 4,181 voters. The centres were chosen on the basis of the number of voters, easy accessibility to the centre, educational qualification and professional status of the voters.
‘We have already started propagations with loud speakers, leaflets, posturing about using EVM in the ward,’ the BCC election returning officer told.
