The 28th BCS candidates, who were excluded from viva, demanded their immediate appointments to the non-cadre posts in the government services before the final results of 29th BCS exams are out.
The job seekers made the demand at a human chain at the footstep of Aparajeyo Bangla at Dhaka University yesterday.
Seeking the prime minister’s intervention to satisfy the demand, they said the opportunity of getting appointments will be cancelled once the result of 29th BCS examinations is announced.
Around 2,700 candidates, eliminated from the viva, are waiting as the Public Service Commission (PSC) recommended their appointments to the non-cadre posts after announcing the final result of 28th BCS exams.
They said the establishment ministry also issued a special policy in May to appoint them.
The candidates said the government should recruit them to the empty posts in the government services to lessen unemployment crisis.
They will lead a march from PSC office to the prime minister’s office today to submit a memorandum to the PM to press home their demand.
